Blog about the piece:
Tonight while sitting down for dinner, my son decided that he was going to pray over the food. He usually asks me to do it and I tell him that it is important to be grateful for what we have, appreciative for where our food comes from, and thankful that we can afford to eat good things to stay healthy. Well, he started to pray and said that he was thankful for the food and for his daddy getting home safe. And then out of nowhere he said "thanks for the pictures on the wall." He said, "I love that they have wine bottles on them." Haha... I had to smile and try not to laugh. It is amazing how attentive children are. How much their minds are aware of the things around them. Those pictures have been there for months now and to be honest my eyes pass right by them because they're old news. But even after being there so long, my son decided that today he would be thankful for them. What a beautiful lesson right from home. Be appreciative of the things that are always around you. Maybe today you can say thanks for something out of the ordinary.
