365 days of aRt. DAY ONE HUNDRED & TWELVE.

i waited for your call
last night in the rain
waited for your call
but the call never came
so now i keep waiting
but the phone never rings

Blog about the piece:
This may be a stretch, and I may be the only one collecting something like this, but here it goes: Ok, so you're at home and waiting by the phone and it never seems to ring. But then you discover that the reason for it's silence is that it's not your current phone. You have your old phone. One of the twenty previously used cell phones that just sit there in drawers, closets, and in bags around the house. And if it weren't for those old phones well... maybe you would have gotten that call. :-) The point is get rid of them. They're just clutter, taking up space, decorating the ugly side of life. I can understand keeping one, just in case your's goes bad. But twenty? Take the time to donate them. There is a great organization called Cell Phones for Soldiers that gets paid to recycle cell phones and uses the money to send pre-paid calling cards to our soldiers. A great way to appreciate the abundance in your life is to give some of it away. And that's really the point of today's blog -- purge and let go of the clutter and unnecessary items in your life. It feels good. Find a donation center close to you... http://www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com/locateDropoff.asp
