365 days of aRt. DAY ONE HUNDRED & EIGHTEEN.

the wasted clock
keeps drunken time
never turning, no regret
and i sit here drunk
just wasting time
my mind is trying to forget

Blog about the piece:
I honestly haven't drank to be drunk in years, although sometimes it seems that with life comes moments when we feel that sort of disconnect in other ways. It's as if we step out of our reality and take a different view. In a 1930's painting by Salvador Dali he does just that. He uses techniques to alter the view of reality. It is one of my favorite paintings and one that I have seen on and off through my entire life. It goes well with this writing as it is titled, THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY. Take a moment to view reality in a little bit of a different way. http://www.moma.org/collection/object.php?object_id=79018
