i saw hate on the tv
a harsh reality
of the way some people tend to be
and i turn my head
and turn it off
and think better of the moment
my mother says be careful
and my father says be safe
but i am unafraid
and willing to embrace life
in this one shot escapade

It is an event like the one that recently took place in Japan that makes us realize how much natural destruction occurs throughout the world. Nature is so capable of causing death, both in humans and all of life, and yet there are so many incidences of man-made destruction everywhere you turn. In a world threatened by environmental toxicity and man versus man mentality, it's difficult to stay positive in terms of morality. With the devastation that came from mother nature's wake, it's times like these where humanity can rise above social differences and lend a hand in a time of need.
