365 days of aRt. DAY FORTY.

you gave me love
that set me free
what once i wanted
now i need
from the deepest parts
my heart believes
you are my soul
come rescue me

As a few of you know, this is the year I will be marrying the love of my life. My absolute love. I don't know how I came to be so lucky. He's a perfect man, with a perfect soul and a perfect heart. He's my match for life. When I remind people that the two of us have been in and out of each other's lives for the past ten years -- as acquaintances mostly -- I'm often asked what sealed the deal. AT WHAT MOMENT DID YOU STOP SEEING HIM AS A FRIEND? In response, it was the first time he wrote me. Quite honestly, I fell in love with his words, and his thoughts and his funny little written idiosyncrasies. We spent the first fifteen months of our relationship in separate states, writing each other daily. He was my sunrise and sunset. His words were what I looked forward to, everyday.
So, instead of a classic representation of today's canvas -- such as Charlotte Bronte or Jane Austin -- I've decided to share a little piece of my love, and quote BEN. Here's a little snip-bit into my definition of love, and into what truly sets me free:

"Good morning, afternoon, evening - happy trip to the coffee shop, happy trip to wherever you are and whatever time of day it is - find yourself smiling, ecstatic, energized, and empowered - that you have someone in your life that loves you like I love you. Someone who would do anything for you, and wants to be everything you've dreamed of having. Someone who knows you're one in a million, who's life is made better (on every account possible) by having you in it. Someone who feels inspired by your talent, who wants to be a part of your success in the things that you hold close. Someone who not only loves you, but is in love with you - unconditionally, and without bound. Someone like me. So sit back, take a sip (if you're at the coffee shop), have a deep breath, close your eyes and smile - I am here (to stay).."

(all smiles).
