365 days of aRt. DAY EIGHTY-SIX.

blue ticket and a railway train
one step, take me out of the rain

Blog about the piece:
This writing makes me think of running away -- that feeling of buying a ticket to somewhere and leaving your problems behind. Seems funny, because we all know that we don't leave them anywhere. They follow us until we deal with them head on. But let's just say for imagination's sake that we decided to be adventurous. We simplified our lives, boarded a train, and did indeed leave every worry and care behind us. Where would you go? What would you leave behind? I know for me I would be off to a country that took me out of my element. Maybe I would head to Belize to visit the amazing Rosita Arvigo and I would leave behind all of the to-do email responses, the fears, the overflowing laundry, the dirty diapers, the bookwork, and the bills behind. Not bad for a Tuesday trip to somewhere.
