we have to give ourselves
moments of silence
times of stillness
of quiet mind, body, and soul
it is the source of our energy
the workings of great spirit
Blog about the piece:
I'm not sure how many of you are early birds but I have to recommend one thing -- if you have never experienced the world just as it wakes up, right as the sun peaks over the horizon, you are missing out on one of the greatest moments of moving stillness (at least according to me). There is a magic in the morning, something I can not even begin to describe, that touches some place deep inside of me. It's as if half of the world is asleep, but this other part, the part that stops for no one or no thing, keeps moving in a romantic, quiet, and holistic way. It really takes my breath away, and then when I realize the beauty of the moment I can not help but breathe it in. Deep. Very deep. I wish I could put words to the silence, which isn't really silence but more of a peace that resonates in everything. I wish I could paint it or sing it or dance it out, but it's beyond all those things. It's plain and simply majestic. Please be there some day this week. When the day begins with the show of the sun, be there and give yourself that moment.
