i visualize my life
in writing
fighting for my dreams
working towards what i believe
my passion to be
i create and display the pages
like a dancer on stage
but i'm not paid for my performance
i'm doing it to show this world
the beauty of artistic flow
the possibilities i know
to be true
the potential of me and you
you and i
finding a bridge between earth and sky
collecting stars as we pass by
shining bright
through these stages of my life
i'm empty pockets
and collecting change
seeing changes
everyday
in the way i explain
my faith
and unfathomable view
shifting two steps left
from where i left my past
and grasped the new
i'm now voicing loud verses and rhyme
creating art that speaks my mind
canvas printed
and painted life-like
i find
i am found.

I'd like to toot our own horn to start, and say, HAPPY 100th POSTING TO CANVAS VOICE! We began as journaled sketches and doodles. We were fueled by rejection from publishing agents. And we took action with the help of a mere new year's resolution. Today is a milestone for us. We had a vision when we began our 365 day project -- one that supported artistic expression, supported staying true to the self, and a vision that empowered our audience to not be afraid to feel, to share, nor to have a strong voice. Our hope as artists, is that we continue to offer an avenue of connection through our sketches and doodles. Thank you friends -- for the support, the likes, and the comments along the way.
