we cry and we laugh
we hurt and we heal
we feel the moment
replay the past
and make hopes for the future
we go and stop
and then view the world dancing around us
sometimes we feel separate from everything else
but behold we are here
all connected, moving together, breathing in the same space
we are living the human condition
we are growing and connecting
we are a community without boundaries
and i may have been there, where you are now
and you might have felt this heartache
or this happiness that i write
we may have been miles away
but experience is our common ground
we will never lose that tie
you and i
until it is time to leave this condition
the one i know you know too well.

Blog about the piece: This weekend marks the end of our ArtPrize experience. In a bittersweet kind of effort, we will tear down the 11' x 41' installation that nearly took three long, laborious months to create. It's been an incredible journey, and with that said we would like to thank our friends, family, and most importantly our fans. YOU have put the incredible in this journey for us. Human connection has fueled our efforts from the very beginning; it was the reason we started CANVAS VOICE, and it was our intent as artists of ArtPrize 2011. Your interaction with our art was the greatest gift that you could have given us. You gave life to our human condition, and in that moment we connected. Human connection: a powerful thing.
