365 dAys of aRt. DAY EIGHT.

i miss that love..

the wake up want to hold you, love
place nothing else above you, love
the kiss goodbye a thousand times
and hug you 'til i cry, my love

the want to make things just right, love
stay up all through the nighttime, love
the breathe you in, and touch your skin
and never leave again, my love.

So I was thinking today, as I was coloring in a very thick, very exciting Curious George coloring book… where has all the art gone? In our lives that is… think about it. When we were kids and in school we did an art project almost everyday. It didn’t matter if we could draw, or paint or color. We could glue on buttons (haha... and pasta, remember the pasta?) and scraps of paper. We could mold things and scribble designs. We would bring the wonderful creations home and we would become the GREATEST artists ever known. A five year old Picasso. So where has that creativity gone? Why don’t we make the time to explore that artEEst inside of us? How many of you out there do some kind of art everyday? Tell me… I challenge you to create something today, even if it’s the most beautiful peanut butter sandwich ever… with a fantastic smiley face made out of chocolate chips (yes… I put chocolate chips in my peanut butter sandwiches) Share your projects… inspire the art world!
