memories that play like skipping tracks,
back and forth, back again.
it's sometimes black and then white
and then this non-linear delight.
i'm quiet and quite happy.
twenty-seven and stepping into me.
wiser for the life i've lived,
humbler for the things i've seen.
and the crooked road has me skipping stones,
dreaming while seeing the storms come and go.
viewing things from a different window,
the more i see the more i grow..

Blog about the piece:
Today is the mark of a new year; and, as the saying goes, new year new you, right? Every year on this day I set aside some time to reflect -- I jot down the good, the bad, and the forgotten of the year. Which goals did I accomplish and which ones did I manage to tuck away for the coming year? Though, no matter what's happened in the last twelve months, the beauty of the new year is that you can start over, clean slate. You can forget about the things you didn't do and concentrate on the things you WANT to do! Take that from the new year and go with it, empower yourself in a way that will allow you to become your best self! HAPPY 2011 to all of our friends and family of CANVAS VOICE, thanks for the continued support.
