365 days of aRt. DAY ONE HUNDRED & TWENTY-EIGHT.

a dark so quiet and still filled with possibility.
i within me, sitting three feet from where i could
be eternally. restrictions rise and i compromise
the night, but high tide and i realize i write
my own life. every wave, a new way of seeing
the day, an internal expression of what god
has to say. an internal reflection of the
truth i contain. an infinite wisdom,
an infinite space.

Blog about the piece:
I'm not sure how many of you have ever heard of an Altered book. It's when you take a book and well... alter it. You glue pictures, add words, rip, cut, tare and create. It's a wonderful task. One that I have taken on quite a few times. The end result is always surprising and ends up reflecting me in a whole new way. The best part is you can keep what you like in the book and just add or delete what you don't like. Perhaps we can do this in our own lives. Just alter it a little. Alter the view, or the attitude, write it a little differently then before. Get to altering... here is a site to check out some great altered book artists: http://karenswhimsy.com/altered-books/
